So, I'd like to say a few things about the celebrities we met today too. Arthur Darvill (Dr. Who's "Rory") was the main pull of the convention today. Sadly, we didn't get to meet The Last Centurion in person, but he seemed like a lovely chap. I then got to meet with Ladislav Beran ("Kroenen" from the first Hellboy movie) and shook his hand, and got talking about what it was like to work with Guillermo del Toro. Finally on the list of celebs that got the Mr. Craiggy treatment today was Ian McNeice (Churchill from Dr. Who to name a more recent role) who, quite frankly, wasn't impressed by me talking with him...

There were so many cool costumes and stalls too, and so much to see and do in a day, but for now, I'll let the video speak for itself. Enjoy!

Seeya next time!

Also, you can find Mike on Youtube under his alias of durge12 here: durge12's YoutubeThree Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-11503381164255553002011-11-01T23:27:00.003+00:002011-11-02T17:51:58.612+00:00Tintin Bonus Review.AKA: "SHUT THE ^&%£ UP TINTIN!"

Ok, so this is our review.

So, here's our latest review in our Three Guys continuity. This review, for those of you following our plot, takes place after Sidders invented and immediately regretted his "Not Dragonball" drinking game (See Dragonball Evolution review).

Apologies for this video not being uploaded sooner, but for some reason it decided to chew up, spit out and dance all over my editing software when I tried doing something clever instead of just putting clips in sequentially, so this is our first video using Sidders' semi-professional standard editing software (Being a screenwriter and everything, in case you hadn't guess by now; he's mentioned it that often...)

So yeah, this is the first of hopefully a new breed of Three Guys videos, featuring better quality, better effects and all around better, ummm, ness.... Yeah, betterness!

Please enjoy the review and please comment and subscribe:

points i forgot to mention:

the characters are very dark, very complicated and therefore very human, i found myself yelling at the pages when a character did something they shouldn't! and i nrealy cried on 2 occasions becuase you become so emotionally invested in the characters and their situation.

there is a social message bout how the children are the ones to suffer due to adults and war and shellshock etc but i only care that its a fun read tbh; very cleaver takes on some ideas and creative. and with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss in teh film i now have 2 reasons to love it more :D

Points Sidders Forgot to Mention Further:
Capital letters.
Spellchecker.
This is another bonus post.
Skynet is aware.
The Game.
Three Guys don't usually do bandwagon books, but in this case we'll let him off.
Hunger Games is the intellectual property of its author and now the production company making the films, this review is done purely for entertainment purposes and is in no way intended to breech copyright laws. Please don't sue us.

Okay, a few things about this post.

1. Yes, I know my windowsill's messy.

2. This is a bonus post separate from regular Three Guys continuity so do not count this with regards to our ongoing jokes.

3. I think Sid got confused with the days. I think Cowboy VS. Aliens is out today, not tomorrow...

All this being said, enjoy the video:

I'd planned to write this review a while ago, but never got around to it so again, apologies for that.

A few weeks ago, myself and The Dave went to go watch the Green Lantern movie as a sort of late birthday night out for myself (Yes, Mr. Craiggy is a whole year older now...)

Now, let me start by saying that I am a HUGE Green Lantern AND Ryan Reynolds fan, so this was a make or break film for me. And let me continue by saying that overall, I was not disappointed.

Okay, so it's an adaptation of the origins story of Hal Jordan. This story has been told so many times that anyone with even the remotest knowledge of GL history will know it. So the story goes, Abin Sur crashlands on earth and his ring seeks out a replacement, finding hotshot risk taking test pilot, Hal Jordan. With me so far? Good. Okay, so the film starts with an explanation about the Green Lantern corps and what it is, what it does etc. I liked this, because it got enough of the details out for newcomers to the GL franchise without being too boring for old faithfuls like myself. Now, here's were the story changes a little for the film. Abin Sur (Played by Temuera Morrison, of Jango Fett fame) got his arse handed to him by an entity known as Parallax. Okay, fair play, there's no larger threat in the GL universe than Parallax, except maybe the Black Lanterns, but he doesn't come til much later. I'll excuse this for adaption's sake.

The film progresses, and I have to say Mark Strong (Lord Blackwood from Sherlock Holmes) played an excellent Sinestro! But, to cut the story short and to avoid spoilers, there's a massive build up about Hal being the one who can overcome fear with courage and prove that Willpower is stronger than Fear (All very important plot threads in GL history, top marks there adaptors) but then leads to what I thought was a very rushed and somewhat anticlimactic ending...

Sure, I understand they had to leave some stuff out like the yellow impurity to the lantern rings, and I understand that they had to leave time for the bonus scene after the credits (Which, if you haven't seen Green Lantern yet and are a fan of the comics, you HAVE to stay and watch, or find online!) but the final fight with Parallax just felt hugely rushed and insignificant compared to the build up. Kinda like Nando's, you hear all these amazing things about the food there, get really excited and then when you get there, it's just chicken; nice chicken, but still just chicken... I'm gonna get shouted at by Sarah for that one later, but hey, everyone has an opinion right?

So, Green Lantern. Fun for fans and newcomers alike, even if it was a bit rushed at the end. The effects were brilliant and I have to admit this is one film I wouldn't mind seeing in 3D if the opportunity arose. Yeah, you heard it, I just admitted to wanting to give in to the gimmick of 3D... Ryan Reynolds was brilliant, but then, it's Ryan Reynolds, what did you expect? It then took a long time to properly edit the darn thing and then when we came to upload it onto Vimeo, the filesize was too large. Then I went on holiday for a week and didn't prep the video for uploading elsewhere before I left so one of the other guys could do it, so sorry for that on my part, but without further ado, let's take a look at what Sidders puts his newfound immortality to the test with now. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dragonball Evolution:

Part 1.

Part 2.

Part 3.

Now, after this review was filmed, Sidders did actually make me and Sarah sit down and watch this with him (Yes, we played the drinking game.) and I have to say, inaccuracies aside, it wasn't that bad. Like Sidders said, it's one of those films where if you just want to watch something stupid, you can put this on, sit back and switch off your brain. I'm not gonna go to any lengths and say that I enjoyed this movie, hell no! But I can now say I survived it, and there were some kinda cool moments in it too...

So, this is Mr. Craiggy and Sidders, signing out for Three Guys.Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-36026908349392842382011-05-08T12:35:00.002+01:002011-05-08T13:07:15.869+01:00Recent Round Up.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 96px; height: 96px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDFIXk7Qm5h5WFOXNwZblqoOdndGwhyXj3UUg7KxZ_nqEEnTC916jUw1Q7D2oUwtH6iDZ73tdATEv6TUEJ4jZZMieZyoX701YTpLcbeIXqfkuCF7ZjLxO4viomZEyWs1UPVwSt62Agx34/s200/ThreeGuysCraig.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604307774645633970" />

Author: Mr. Craiggy

Okay, so it's been a while since our last update. Sadly, no video this time, but I just thought I'd take some time to give you something of an update of what's been going on in the wonderful world of the Three Guys.

Firstly, we've sent Sidders off on an adventure to the American lands on a bloodhunt for Uwe Boll (We didn't have the heart to tell him that Boll lives in Canada...) so I'm sure he'll have something to say about his trip when he gets back.

As for me, well, I've been playing lots of games as you've seen. My list includes Street Fighter IV and Marvel VS Capcom 3. Not much to say here, both fun games, especially MvC3 though I'd like a lot more in the way of unlockable characters... Also on my list was Sega's espionage RPG: Alpha Protocol. If you want my honest opinion, I do like this game. The story's very spy movie-esque but without the over the top nature of say a Bond movie or Just Cause 2 (More on that later). The controls handle nicely, though the aiming can sometimes be a bit annoying. Moving from cover to cover handles very well. My one issue is it didn't feel like anything original... The combat and stealth felt very much like it was trying to be Splinter Cell, the weapon upgrades felt very Army of Two, the dialogue felt like a poor Mass Effect/Dragon Age and the main character's voice actor was a bit... Cardboard...

So, Just Cause 2. This has taken up most of my gaming time recently. I checked my gametime and I've played almost 21 hours worth of it and still only have a 25% completion rate. This game may take up the rest of my life, and I love it for it... It's just so much fun! Sure the plot's very far fetched and over the top, it's very cinematic and the game defies most if not all of the laws of physics, but it's just mindless FUN! And that's what I want from games. It's the largest sandbox game I've played, ever. It's bigger than either of the Saint's Row installments (Also, very excited for The Third).

Still on the Sandbox vibe, I finally got around to trying Crackdown 2... I loved the first Crackdown game, for the same reason I love all superpowered sandbox games like Prototype and InFamous, and Just Cause 2 because let's face it, Rico's a superhero! But, Crackdown 2 just felt bland. It was more of the same, which is nice, but not enough. A tagged on story about a vampire zombie virus outbreak isn't enough to make me want to play the same game again...

Still on my to-do list is Dungeon Siege III and Brink, both of which I've preordered on Steam and am currently preloading Brink so I don't have to wait while it downloads on release day this coming Friday.

As for The Dave? Well, he's been somewhat elusive. I think he's plotting world domination again, and let's face it, who'd try and stop him? It's Dave for crying out loud! But seriously, he's been a very busy boy with his workload and as such I don't think he's been doing much in the way of gaming but will happily be corrected by him. We did however, the three of us, get to see Thor in 3D on release day at our local Vue cinema.

Let me say, as a massive comic-book fan, I'll admit Thor is a character I don't know a lot about other than the bare basics. I never really followed any of his series' other than The Avengers, I haven't even read much Ultimates, which is the basis for the movie franchise from what I gather. As such, Thor was a throwaway movie to me, I wasn't excited about it, but still said I'd see it. Let me tell you, I am SO glad that we went. This movie blew me away! The writing was good, the action was well choreographed, the special effects/CGI was nicely done. There was humour, there was romance, there was... Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings :D There really was something for everyone. 3D did nothing for this movie though. there wasn't really anything that jumped out saying "WOW! Look, I'm 3D!!!" The best bit of 3D was the advert for Real3D before the movie with a robot dog playing with that training ball from Star Wars.

So yeah, that's been us since the Bloodrayne review, which still has me feotal as a movie... Though part of wants to try and endure the second and third offerings now... *cringe*

Well, that's enough for the moment, so until next time:

This is Mr. Craiggy, signing out for Three Guys.Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-69132072399755493792011-04-22T21:30:00.004+01:002011-04-22T21:56:37.792+01:00Bloodrayne... A massively HUGE apology for the incredible delay on this one! What with real life stuff, trouble with video uploaders, camera issues and a deranged ninja ferret, this review took a long time to make... Now, for those of you who aren't aware of what Cyberpunk is, just watch Blade Runner Johnny Mnemonic. It’s kinda like those films but to varying degrees of extremity; The Matrix is also an example. Distant, often dystopian future, super high technology, often with advanced cybernetic body augmentations and super cool computer systems.
One of my favourite aspects of the Cyberpunk universe is Shadowrun, an RPG originally published in 1989 and still going strong today in its 4th edition and celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, Shadowrun does things a little differently. Yes it has your super high tech and your world ruled by the corporations, yes it’s a relatively bleak, dystopian future (Unless you’ve got the monies) but Shadowrun also incorporates a fantasy element to the game, including such aspects as magic, fantastical creatures and even races from the fantasy genre such as elves, dwarves, orcs and trolls.
The players take the role of “Shadowrunners” and it is their mission to take jobs from various different employers (All assuming the moniker of Mr. Johnson for anonymity’s sake) of various credibility and legitimacy. These jobs are often illegal and almost always dangerous.

Now, no, I know what you’re probably thinking. This is not a review of Shadowrun. I could talk for hours about that game, I really could. No, that was just to set the scene, because recently, I have made a discovery. Ladies and Gentlemen and other non-gender specific metatypes, I present to you: Renaissance.

Renaissance is a webcomic that you can find here and is written and drawn by Canadian author/artist - David Coacci. It also has a Facebook group. Now, the reason this caught my eye is that it is billed as exactly what I have just described to you, a "Cyberpunk Fantasy" graphic novel, so I just had to read it. I'll just copy you the synopsis from the site to wet your appetite:

Over 2,000 years ago, the world of Sia was caught up in a great war. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth... various factions fought with swords and sorcery for the ever seductive goal of absolute power. The constant abuse of magical energies inevitably caused a cataclysm that left Sia in ruins, forcing old rivals to band together in an effort to send the world into a new era of peace and prosperity. This "Renaissance" was sparked by a restriction on the use of magic and the beginning of a technological revolution.
Today, technology rules, and the people of Sia no longer fear another cataclysm. But still war rages on between the World Coalition Authority, a universal government harboring the remains of the Elf-Human Alliance, and the Technocrats, a faction dedicated to technological supremacy. History is destined to repeat itself as these two super powers vie for control over Sia’s populous.

Yet it is soon discovered that this war is not as simple as it seems when a young mercenary encounters an elf with an uncertain past. The two soon find themselves at the heart of this bitter global conflict and, as the line between man and machine becomes increasingly blurry and technology evolves to a point that it can achieve the unthinkable, it is only a matter of time before the very nature of human and elven kind comes into question.

Science has become the new black magic.

Now, so far, the story follows a few main characters. There's Nyoko - A sexy elven assassin with heightened strength and regenerative capabilities. Magical? Technological? Wait and see. Allen Gatehold - A human mercenary with remarkable swordsmanship and prowess. And there are our two current antagonists, the "Ace Gunman" Eddie and the veteran, Scyther (No, not that green thing from Pokemon) and Scyther's a "Tomyr", and what that means, from what I've gathered, is that the Tomyr are a physically superior race to humans, being stronger, tougher and living roughly twice as long. They're linked closely to the elves, even bearing similar facial structuring (And ears.) and they used to guard the elves but then became enslaved by them, thus leaving generations of racial animosity between them.

So, I think I've said enough about the plot. I really enjoy it and look forward to reading the rest of the story as it progresses. The art style does become progressively better throughout the series and is in full colour, which is very nicely done. I will give a warning, this one is recommended more for a maturer audience due to some of the language used, the violence content and some brief scenes of partial nudity.

So this is a very excited Mr Craiggy, who can't wait for the next update, signing out for Three Guys.

Renaissance and all characters and content are property of David Coacci. This review is written and published with his full permission and good will. I make a note of what happened at this point later in the review which was the catalyst for prompting me to do so.

WARNING!! Spoilers ahead!
- This review will reference plot material from the movie and as such, may spoil the story for you should you ever intend to watch this movie of your own volition.

That being said, let’s move on to the review. BRII is the sequel to the 2000 Japanese cult classic, Battle Royale. This movie was released in 2003 and is coincidentally also set 3 years after the events of the first film. It was directed by Fukasaku Kinji, the director of the first movie, but he sadly died part way through filming and so his son, Fukasaku Kenta, writer of the screenplays for both films, took over the directing role.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Battle Royale, I suggest you go out and watch it or read the manga, as the original book the story is based on is very difficult to come by in an English translation to my knowledge, but until then, here’s a brief synopsis and the filler between the two films: Japan’s school system has fallen into disarray and the youth are degenerating with lower test scores and uprisings of rebellious behaviour against adults; as such, the Battle Royale program was created. This program allowed teachers to nominate their classes of insubordinate rapscallions and one of the nominated classes would be selected at random and transported to an abandoned island to kill each other for the rest of Japan’s entertainment (Seriously, Japanese TV just gets weirder and weirder...). The kids would then have explosive collars fastened to them. Usual deal, tamper with them = boom, break the rules = boom, linger for too long in a designated ‘danger zone’ (sing it with me now) = boom. The students had a set period of time to kill each other until only one remained and were each given randomly allocated equipment bags which included rations, plus a random ‘weapon’ item, some good, some bad, some plain useless. Anyway, long story short, two kids in love survive and refuse to kill each other, manage to escape, hurrah, thus ends a great movie. Then the second one begins with our hero from the first movie, Shuya, explains that he’s formed a terrorist group called Wild Seven along with his girlfriend Noriko and they wage war on the adults of Japan. We also find out that the Japanese government has created a new program, Battle Royal Two...

Our film then starts with a shot of what looks like two skyscrapers being blown u- wait, what?! Okay, seriously, this film got lucky. It didn’t get banned from distribution in America, however, it never originally was scheduled for a distribution order IN America, though bootleg copies still found their way over and eventually other versions crept in, so, it’s a touchy subject, but moving on, we get some generic classical music expected of this genre (Dies Irae from the Verdi Requiem if anyone’s interested).

Cut to Shiori. She’s the daughter of the teacher from the first movie and, upon finding that her dad held a student of his (Noriko) in higher regard than her, she gets all moody and signs her school up for BR2. Cut to a scene of the school kids playing rugby (union rules I have to point out, sadly...) which, I honestly never knew they played in Japan, go figure. And so our class are on a coach passing around and signing a rugby ball as a sign of their friendship and bonding etc. But then, the coach enters a tunnel, kids get gassed, pass out, they’re at a military compound.

So, wouldn’t you know their teacher is put in charge and explains the rules of the new BR2 program, saying that it is designed as a game again, but the class would be working together to hunt down and kill Wild Seven, especially Shuya. Oh yeah, and the kids have all got explosive collars again, but this time there’s a twist. One of the kids is killed because he doesn’t want to take part and we then hear a beeping from one of the collars to which the teacher points out “Oh, by the way, these things are paired now, so whoever your seating partner is in class, if they die or move outside of fifty metres from you, you go boom too.” Seriously, somebody needs to CRB check these teachers more thoroughly!

So yeah, the kids’re sent out to attack Wild Seven’s base in a scene much like the beach from Saving Private Ryan only with Japanese teenagers with machineguns and skate helmets (Yeah, skate helmets. Goggles too). One kid - I didn’t catch his name, but more on that later – cops a bullet to the neck and dies, triggering his partner’s collar. Boom! One landing craft sunk. Another kid jumps off, breaking the fifty metre rule. Boom! Another landing craft gone. My word! Like the first movie, the audience gets a kill count whenever somebody dies and are told how many are left. We started with 42 kids, so far 14 of them have snuffed it, we’re a half hour into the movie... Hell, I’m not even sure half of those kids had names!

So yeah, we get a brief bit with this movie’s ‘badass’ character called Ryo who runs a bit, shoots a bit, watches people die, gets angry. I reckon he’ll make it almost all the way to the end of the movie and then die saving the protagonists. A few more deaths, a cut to the other group who are scavenging the island for ammo drops for their guns. A guy called Shugo dies trying to save a girl called Naomi (Nao) who, the way people keep referring to her and the fact that she is also friends with Takuma (Taku) (My guess at the main protagonist), she’s the love interest of the movie. Anyhoo, Shugo’s collar beeps and they can’t figure why because he’s still alive, they’re trying to first-aid his ass, but then they notice his partner who’s in one of the ‘danger zones’ (Encore!) and then does a runner and then goes boom, causing Shugo to run for it to save the rest of his team and gives a big morale speech to Taku about how they were always a team, how they were friends, blah blah blah, look after Nao, one final heroic stand, sniper pops his head.

This brings me to my previous mentioned point about forgettable characters. According to my video player’s clock when I paused it at the latest kill count after Shugo dropping we’re 37 minutes into the movie and have lost 18 of the original 42. Now, I can kind of understand what the film’s trying to do here; thin the ranks so the audience can focus on the more important characters, it’s red-shirt syndrome. But! And this is a big but; when you try to have emotive, character developing moments (Like with Ryo on the beach and just now with Shugo, and back near the start with the collar explanation) the audience just can’t feel emotionally attached to the death of a character who has been on screen for all of two, maybe three minutes... Depth cannot be added to a character if they then immediately die! This doesn’t make for a detailed plot, it’s just poor character development... I bet those kids only had two days ‘til retirement too. I was going to create the “Battle Royale 2 Drinking Game.” Every time someone pointless dies, take a shot, but we’d be wasted before even the halfway point, that’s 14 shots so far (I’ll count the ‘character building’ deaths and the ‘plot filling’ deaths as purposeful)

Right, so the story continues, and we get an update from the teacher in this film, Riki. He tells us that 18 have died so far and that he’s disappointed and that these deaths lacked individuality... I know what he means. Also, this guy’s nuts. He’s really opposed to the calm, collected insanity of Kitano - the teacher from the first film (Oddly played by Kitano Takeshi). I like Riki so far, he’s just crazy, and for some reason is also wearing a collar himself.

So yeah, film progresses, people die, not giving away the ending. If you want to, go and watch it yourselves. This film is very, average. There were good bits, don’t get me wrong, and the deaths are very well designed (The Japanese do gore very well) but they just didn’t have the edge or the suspense of the first movie. Sure the first movie had its own share of needless characters who just died for the sake of dying, but this film seemed to go way over the top, especially because almost half of the new characters are dead before the movie’s halfway done. From an actual plot point of view, this is actually a half decent sequel; it answers questions, it progresses the story from the previous film. From a structural point of view however, it peaks too soon. Too many deaths at the start to clear the path for the ‘meaningful’ characters later on leads to less action in the second half of the movie; well, in my opinion at least. And for the record, it's a predictable plot, so without giving away spoilers, you can still probably guess the end. Oh, and for the record, my guess about Ryo was semi right; he died, but it was just in a normal skirmish, this further proving my point about pointless character development.

My final opinion is this: If you enjoyed the first movie, then I would definitely recommend watching this one if only for the plot progression, but do not by any means expect to enjoy it anywhere near as much as the first film. If you haven’t seen the first movie, then why the hell are you watching this?! Go watch the first one, NOW!

This is Mr Craiggy, signing out for Three Guys.Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-72954957761612129142010-08-20T23:31:00.005+01:002010-08-21T00:12:36.356+01:00Craig now wants a swordspear...<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 96px; height: 96px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnVnNu-0tWAMGSdICTtk61onRNJ6OEUzMANp4kCPbefrzphUXVZZ8lKVyJ4O4rmWPEHem_wbRjeqYjohfPsoXfptnWdBFkFw7rORyuHnEUFUFzboiaZiuRofzFK-eAOQb8SStomdtnbPI/s320/ThreeGuysDave.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507623872222976178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 96px; height: 96px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKb8OyLjqL-TYNbgstw0maEyGtX0FU3FC3T9NcqkasmNyusryKJ0frfBecMHC0t7f70tMiv5pIk5lt4KhIUPVzCraLneFzSxkOmyMkKoihrn_D7cbl-5okSQKFRSqAoqix3JGZKLpxhME/s320/ThreeGuysCraig.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507623963455364770" />

Authors - The Dave/MrCraiggy

Okay, so Dave's getting top billing on this one because he found this B-E-A-utiful link!!

MrCraiggy: Do you know what this means?! Do you? Tell us! Because I sure don't, aside from perhaps one of the most exciting sequel announcements since, EVER!! I mean come on, this guy has a swordspear, how is that not badass?! Plus he summons big fiery demon hands to tear things apart and mess shizz up!! Plus, to those who've played the first Dragon Age, recognise the narrator voice? We both think it sounds a bit like Flemeth... Possible plot hook? Who knows.

All I can say is that I am now very excited about this game. I loved the first Dragon Age and always thought that there needed to be more. Now I know there's going to be, so I am literally wetting my pants with excitement... Okay, well, maybe not that much, but still, WOW! Dave?

The Dave: Yeah, and seeing as it's Bioware, we know we're in for a very in depth, fun, playable experience. And if it's anything like the last one, it's going to blow us away. Every game they've brought out of this type (Kotor, KotorII, Mass Effect, Mass Effect II, the original Dragon Age) have always proven better than the previous game, so this one promises lots!!

This has been Mr Craiggy and The Dave, signing out for Three Guys!

*The Dave's UPDATE!!!* Brilliant update confirmation is that like 'Mass effect' your character will be fully voiced and ontop of that imports are available, maybe not for your character but for the choices that your previous character made, so as a new individual in the story of 'Dragon Age 2' you will notice things that relate to your past experience in 'Dragon Age: Oragins' and we all know how much you love your Bioware romance moments where you can choose to seduce a companion....well its back and not only with companions some NPC'S will also be available to fine dine and romance. So to say me and Craig are looking forward to this is an understatement, bring on March next year!Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-14129557127203296512010-08-18T22:29:00.003+01:002010-08-18T23:19:21.861+01:00NXT - Nearing the end of the road.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 96px; height: 96px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM6UkyVIy3OXyPSOa8etSACx848YKfHqc0ioQKISCOSr2KuYzSoUU0EWy9oOQ4gmFIVStAv3BRbnUpVijt4vQgkQH6kZFOvNCLcgerZKsHWCmWd_8i1Vhn5abxrUDh9ghU1aAhZrLbIAI/s320/ThreeGuysCraig.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506865367905300018" />

Author: MrCraiggy.

Let me start by saying that this week's NXT was bittersweet for me, more on that later.

Okay, so this week we have a double elimination. The tension is mounting and we get a repeat of last week's promo slot, giving each rookie a minute to talk on a chosen subject. More of the same really, not much to say aside from Kaval rapping in his big boy voice about the other NXT Rookies. This was amusing.

We then get a surprise announcement that the first elimination is happening straight away, more tension, and it's bye bye Percy Watson. I'm not smiling, honest. No really, I'm not... Okay, maybe a slight smug smirk...

So our first match is McGillicutty VS Zack Ryder. I'm still disappointed that Ryder's just wearing simple trunks as ring attire now. One thing I've noticed recently in wrestling, particularly the WWE, is a resurgance of trunks...
Not a bad match, pretty short, Ryder wins it with his "Rough Ryder" finisher.

We then get a Summerslam recap of the Kane/Mysterio match, but I'm not here to talk about summerslam.

We get a backstage segment with Laycool where Michelle confronts Layla about maybe having a crush on Kaval and then Husky walks by and gives Michelle a line right out of my own book, "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?" (Have I mentioned I love this guy?) but gets brushed off, poor guy.

We then get another Husky/Kaval rematch. Good match, solid offense on both sides. Kaval gets a busted lip, which is always nice, bit of colour in a match, but not ott *cough*Flair*cough*Hogan*cough*. Kaval wins it with the "Warrior's Way".

Next match, Alex Riley VS Kofi Kingston. Very quick match, Kofi wins it with his "Trouble in Paradise" kick. Not much else to say, too short a match for any real comment.

So we get a spot now of Josh Matthews and Michael Cole being interviewed by Matt Striker about who should win and who should be eliminated. Cole obviously favours Riley and thinks Kaval should be eliminated, making some obscure reference to Susan Boyle. Matthews makes the statement of as much as he usually disagrees with Cole, this time he doesn't, he wants Riley to win and Kaval off.

Elimination time... It saddens me to say farewell to Husky Harris. I'd be more saddened if I didn't have this result spoilt for me (Thanks Rob...) but there goes my favourite to win... Anyway, Cody makes a nice rant about how disgusted he is. Husky and Cody attack Kaval, everyone else joins in to break it up, Kaval hits the Warrior's Way from the top rope to the outside of the ring (Very nicely done) and the show comes to a close. I don't think that this is the last we'll see of Husky though.

So, two more weeks until we have a winner.

This is Mr Craiggy, signing out for Three Guys.Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977088706947886505.post-49902575883388730242010-08-17T20:01:00.002+01:002010-08-17T20:03:39.844+01:00Guest Reviewer - Dev.Okay, Mr Craiggy here. If you have Kane Hodder in any movie, he’s usually a serial killer, like Jason Vorhees… So that’s good!

It has boobs, no sex, Marilyn Manson’s “The New S**t”, takes place during Mardi Gras, about 8 or 9 kills, and has a cliff-hanger ending… And it’s kind of based off of Friday the 13th (It says on the documentary, “His Name was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th”), and Kane Hodder was Jason Vorhees in a few films…

It’s a horror-comedy film, that makes fun of Friday the 13th, and Halloween. The kills are mostly practical, but with a few CGI glimpses to make the kills a little bit better.

It’s a good horror film, and I’d give it a 3.3 (out of 5) decapitated heads on the regular film scale, and 4.9 (out of 5) on the independent, horror film scale!

And I’m sorry, I couldn’t film this… No, don’t cry… No, no… Don’t hit me!!

But since I couldn’t film this, here’s a video made by me:

Also, Hatchet has a sequel, called "Hatchet II" (Already, on DVD and Blu-Ray), and "Hatchet III" is going to be released in theaters this fall...

Thank you, this has been 'Dev'... Winner of the 'Three Guys Page-view Contest'!!Three Guys With Too Much Timehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17209521524236661838noreply@blogger.com1
